7th Annual Patient Engagement, Education and Adherence Summit

Successful medication adherence is a complex task that involves the effort of a number of stakeholders — pharmaceutical companies, physicians, payers, and, of course, the patient — and they each want the same thing: positive health outcomes.

Lash Group’s Susan Stinson, Sr. Vice President, Operations, Clinical Services and Lisa Tulipani, Clinical Services Education Consultant/RN Quality Analyst will co-present at EXL’s upcoming adherence conference, which brings together leading industry innovators to connect with peers and discuss the latest trends and best practices in medication adherence, patient engagement, health literacy and partnering with patient advocacy groups. Ms. Stinson and Ms. Tulipani will share insight on best practices for successful patient engagement.

The U.S. pharmaceutical industry loses $188 billion annually due to medication non-adherence, according to a 2012 CapGemini report. This same report indicates that just a 10 percent increase in adherence rates would generate revenue of $41 billion in the U.S. alone and $124 billion globally.

Successful medication adherence is a complex task that involves the effort of a number of stakeholders — pharmaceutical companies, physicians, payers, and, of course, the patient — and they each want the same thing: positive health outcomes. This year’s event is all about enhanced patient education and engagement for improved health outcomes across all industry sectors. The agenda includes a full-day case study showcase, panel discussions, interactive sessions and roundtables led by top industry executives.
