Rapid advances in digital capabilities have drastically changed the way we interact—with friends, family, and coworkers. Instead of primarily phone and face-to-face communication, more individuals are turning to e-mail, text messages, and social networks to work with clients and colleagues. Mentoring in the workplace has not been immune to the changes brought on by the advances in technology—instead, it has evolved and adapted to the new ways of communication.
